As Building Services Consultants our aim is to provide a personal, professional high-quality service to all our existing and potential Clients. Our core service is the provision of fully coordinated designs for mechanical and electrical building services installations, within new build or refurbishment projects from initial concepts through to final completion and handover, in accordance with our internal Quality Assurance System to BS9001.
Design Services
Environmental Services
As Environmental Consultants we are focused on integrating low carbon or zero carbon technologies into all our designs where possible and viable, such as solar photovoltaic or thermal panels, ground or air source heat pumps, ground or air heat recovery systems, phase change thermal storage units, wind and water turbines, which have been included in our low carbon or passive house designs, in accordance with our internal Environmental System to BS14001.
Sustainable Services
Our Building Services and Environmental designs provide the best value, advice and design options for all our Clients, while optimising thermal performance and reducing energy consumption, to provide sustainable benefits to ensure their buildings are energy efficient and in compliance with the relevant Regulations, Environmental Assessments (BREEAM), domestic Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP), Passive House Planning Package (PHPP) or the commercial Standard Building Energy Model (SBEM) energy calculations.
Supervision Services
In addition to the above design services, we also provide site supervision for building services installations, either as part of our full service, or as employers agents to monitor and supervise other designers and installers, in accordance with our internal Health & Safety System to BS 45001. Including site inspections, attendance at progress meetings, technical meetings, and production of site reports to ensure building services installations are installed in the correct manner to meet Client’s design guides, parameters, standards and regulations.
Surveying Services
Whether you have an existing building or are looking to extend or even demolish and rebuild, Simpson & Crawford Consulting Ltd can provide surveying services, reports and recommendations to ascertain the condition of your existing building services installations, identifying potential or hidden problems and how existing services may be extended or even removed, together with estimated costs and practical advice based on sound technical expertise and engineering principles.
Report Services
Technical Services
We offer a full range of technical services including computer aided design software utilising Autodesk Suite incorporating AutoCAD and Revit software to cater for various BIM Levels, including 3D modelling were required, mechanical and electrical calculation packages, thermal energy modelling software, mechanical and electrical site measurement and testing equipment, together with video conference facilities using numerous platforms.
The Directors have been involved in the Building Services Consultancy industry from the late eighties dealing with Clients, Stakeholders, Funders and Government Departments and have a wealth of experience producing feasibility and technical reports, environmental and sustainable reports, condition and dilapidation reports, life cycle analysis and cost reports, together with operation and maintenance reports to assist Clients in making informed decisions.
